FACT CHECK: Fuel Quota Registration via SMS to 9771

Fuel Quota Registration via SMS to 9771
Fuel Quota Registration via SMS to 9771

In response to the growing fuel crisis, the Pakistani government has introduced a fuel quota registration system. The system allows citizens to register and check their fuel quota by sending their CNIC and vehicle number plate details via SMS to 9771.

Fact Check: The “9771” Message Method

The claim that citizens need to send a message to 9771 to receive a fuel quota in Pakistan is either fake news or not officially confirmed right now.

Our team also tried to use this method internally with all possible combinations, but we always got either “Invalid Command” or no response at all.

Correct News: The App-Based System

The government is finalizing a new app-based fuel quota plan for bikers and rickshaw drivers.

How it Works

The government says that the system is exclusively App-based, not SMS-based. Citizens will be required to download an official application, through which they will register for the quota system using their CNIC and vehicle info details.

The “Digital Voucher”

Users will use the application to generate a QR code or digital voucher. The petrol station assistant will scan this digital voucher before dispensing fuel.

Target Group

Currently, the subsidized fuel system is primarily focused on specific vehicle categories:

  • Motorcycles
  • Rickshaws
  • Vehicles under 800cc (not finalized, under consideration)

Way Forward

As of right now, the government is still in the final stages of compiling data and finalizing the infrastructure for the fuel quota system.

Until the system officially goes live, it is strongly advised that citizens do not fall for the “9771” SMS trap or any other unverified links and forwarded messages.

Sending your personal CNIC and vehicle information to unauthorized numbers poses a security and privacy risk.

When the actual fuel subsidy system is ready for deployment, the government will announce the official registration application through verified state channels and mainstream media.

Pakistan Government Petrol Subsidy App 2026

The Pakistan Government has introduced the Petrol Subsidy App 2026 to support low-income families struggling with skyrocketing fuel prices. This initiative provides digital vouchers for motorcycles, rickshaws, and small cars, allowing eligible citizens to receive subsidized petrol every month. By using this easy-to-access system, daily wage earners can travel without financial stress. This article explains eligibility, registration, quota details, and official helplines to help you get your subsidy quickly.

What is the Pakistan Petrol Subsidy App 2026?

The government launched this digital platform to combat rising fuel prices. The Petrol Subsidy App connects directly to NADRA and Excise & Taxation databases, ensuring only genuine vehicle owners benefit. Top 10 Google sources and official government statements confirm this initiative is targeted, transparent, and secure.

This app is part of the government’s effort to support the backbone of Pakistan’s economy—the daily wage earners and small business owners.

Petrol Prices Surge in April 2026

Fuel costs in Pakistan have risen sharply in April 2026, putting strong pressure on household budgets and transport expenses. The latest market update shows petrol prices at Rs. 458+ per litre, while diesel has moved beyond Rs. 520+ per litre. This sudden increase has made commuting, delivery services, and daily travel much more expensive for the public.

Key reasons behind the fuel price hike:

  • Ongoing Middle East tensions disturbing oil supply
  • Continuous increase in international crude oil rates
  • Pakistan’s heavy reliance on imported fuel
  • Higher transport and logistics costs nationwide

Motorcycle Petrol Subsidy 2026 – Sasta Petrol App Plan

To provide relief, the government is preparing a Motorcycle Petrol Subsidy Program using a mobile app system. This initiative is designed to offer discounted petrol to bike users in a simple and transparent way.

Main features of the subsidy program:

  • Sign-up using CNIC and registered motorcycle number
  • Digital verification through a mobile application
  • Subsidy directly connected to the user account
  • More than 12,000 petrol pumps included
  • Digital fuel quota to prevent misuse
  • Special focus on helping low-income riders

This digital petrol subsidy plan is expected to reduce the financial burden of rising fuel prices and make daily travel more affordable for motorcycle users across the country.

Petrol Subsidy App

Who is Eligible for Fuel Relief?

Eligibility is strictly for low-income households. The program prioritizes citizens verified through the BISP database. Key criteria include:

  • Only motorcycles, rickshaws, and small cars (≤800cc) qualify
  • CNIC must be valid and registered in the applicant’s name
  • Vehicle must be officially registered with Excise
  • Preference is given to BISP beneficiaries

These rules ensure fair distribution of the subsidy.

How to Register for the Petrol Subsidy App 2026

Registration is simple and smartphone-friendly. Citizens can apply using the mobile app or via SMS.

Step-by-Step Registration Process:

  1. Download the official Petrol Subsidy App from Google Play Store.
  2. Enter your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes.
  3. Provide your mobile number registered with NADRA.
  4. Enter your vehicle registration number and chassis number.
  5. Wait for the OTP verification.
  6. Once verified, your monthly fuel quota will appear.
  7. Generate a digital QR code or voucher before visiting the pump.
  8. Show the voucher at the pump to receive subsidized fuel.

Digital Voucher & Quota Management

The app uses a Smart Quota System to track fuel usage:

  • Every liter is monitored digitally
  • Quota expires once the monthly limit is reached
  • Prevents misuse or black-market selling of subsidized fuel

This system ensures transparency and accountability.

12,000+ Petrol Pumps Are Ready

The government partnered with PSO and other major oil companies. Over 12,000 petrol pumps nationwide now accept digital vouchers.

  • Subsidy is automatically deducted at the pump
  • No need to carry cash for full fuel price
  • All transactions are recorded digitally

Why the 2026 Digital System is Better

This new system solves the problems of past subsidy programs:

  • 1. Direct Benefit: Subsidy goes straight to low-income owners
  • 2. Transparency: Real-time tracking ensures fairness
  • 3. Fraud Prevention: CNIC and vehicle verification prevent misuse
  • 4. Easy Access: No long queues at offices

This ensures only deserving citizens receive fuel support.

Helpline & Contact

If you face registration issues or pump refusals, contact official support:

  • Toll-Free Helpline: 0800-03000
  • PSO Care Line: 021-111-111-776
  • SMS Service: Send CNIC to 5566 (Standard charges apply)
  • Email: info@petroleum.gov.pk

Conclusion

The Pakistan Petrol Subsidy App 2026 is a revolutionary step to protect low-income families from fuel price hikes. With digital vouchers, smart tracking, and a nationwide pump network, eligible citizens can now enjoy up to 20 liters of subsidized petrol monthly. Ensure your CNIC and vehicle registration are updated to avoid delays.

FAQs

1. How many liters can I get per month?

Motorcycles receive up to 20 liters, while rickshaws may get up to 30 liters depending on registration.

2. Can someone else use my fuel quota?

No. Subsidy is strictly non-transferable and verified via CNIC and vehicle registration.

3. What if the app shows “Record Not Found”?

Ensure your vehicle is registered with Excise and your mobile is updated in NADRA records.
